Global Publisher, Penguin Random House is seeking a self-motivated Sales Manager to join their team in Westminster, Maryland.

This Sales Manager will be responsible for selling titles under all Penguin Random House adult imprints to new and existing accounts; provide information to accounts regarding terms, publicity and marketing plans, policy and promotions and works closely with book sellers to develop the most effective marketing methods based on the account's location and customer base.

The ability to establish and strengthen communication and relationships with independent and wholesale book buyers.

Candidates must have a natural communication style, pleasant personality and be committed to providing exceptional Customer Service.

2-3 years prior sales experience, avid reader of fiction and non-fiction is preferred.

Candidates must possess:

• excellent written and oral communication skills, including follow-up

• strong organizational and time management skills

• MS Office proficiency to include Outlook, Word and Excel

• Strong knowledge of and passion for books Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a deadline driven environment

Periodic travel is required to research and profile new business, attend sales conferences and attend trade shows as needed.
